On the 12th December 1964 the first turf was cut at the start of construction of a £65,000 modern style building which culminated twenty one months later with a special opening service on 8th October 1966.

The building is part single and part double storey with the entrance below a mineralite rendered tower. The chapel, which is on the ground floor, is forty-five feet by thirty feet and as pew space for about two hundred people.
