Lowther Pavilion 8 August.

I have received the names of some members who are able to help at the Family History Exhibition. However, more assistance is needed. Please let me know if you can help with checking the 1881 census (we will have all the English Counties, Scotland and Wales), our stall should be a busy one. Other groups will be dealing with Civil Registration, Poor Law Records, Wills & Deeds, etc. There will also be representatives from the Lancashire Record Office, Lancashire Parish Register Society and many others. If you can help on the day or if you can provide transport to Lytham, please let me know. Any help preparing the posters for our stall would also be welcome.

Rossendale Ancestry.

Mrs Julie Small, 59 Rothesay Avenue, Tile Hill, Coventry, CV4 9FH. is trying to trace information on Ralph Duckworth son of Richard.

Ralph married Jane Haworth in Burnley in 1876 when he was 35. In both 1881 and 1891 he states he was born in Haslingden but the only Ralph we can find was son of a James.

Mr. R. Hayhurst of Bristol seeks info. on Eleazer Hayhurst who married Alice Pilling at Bury 1st Jan. 1839.

His father was Henry Hayhurst. He has found him on census at Higher Booths 1841-1881 living near Henry & Eleanor Hayhurst. All given as born Haslingden. Eleazer was born 1816/17. He seeks a baptism, & a marriage of Henry to Eleanor. He found baptisms at St James for children of Henry & Eleanor, of Roundhill, Mary born 18 Sept. 1814; John born 12 Sept. 1819; Henry born 7 April 1822. Any suggestions?

Boyson Family Tree. Many thanks to Wilf Day who has provided me with details of the Boyson Family from the Crawshawbooth Methodist Register and to Kathleen Ashburner for details from some Haslingden scrap books which she is indexing.
