St Philip's Church

Chatterton Road Chatterton

Originally opened as a Mission for Edenfield Parish Church in 1906, St Philip’s was built on land donated by Lieutenant Colonel A. T. Porritt. The Church, which can seat 250 and built at a cost of £6,500, was consecrated on 28th May 1927 by the Rev. Dr J C Hill, Bishop of Hulme. The opening of the Church also saw the forming of Stubbins as a separate parish from the mother-parish at Edenfiled.
